Deborah Miller Black's transactional practice emphasizes trademark protection, real estate matters, including affordable housing entitlements and regulation, and business law.

Following law school, Ms. Black clerked for The Honorable John Feikens, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. She entered private practice at Dickinson, Wright, Moon, Van Dusen & Freeman in Michigan, and later joined Griffinger, Freed, Heinemann, Cook & Foreman in San Francisco, California. While at Griffinger, Freed, Ms. Black practiced commercial real estate law, with an emphasis on secured lending and loan workouts. Ms. Black joined the firm in September 2006.

Ms. Black is the author of Book Notice, 80 Mich. L. Rev. 820 (1982) and a co-author of "Great America First Saving Bank v. Bayside Developers: a ride on the section 726 roller coaster," 9 California Real Property Journal 1-7 Fall 1991.

Ms. Black resides in Greenbrae, California, with her husband and two children.
