John Hank Edson is the most recent Marin native to join Keegin Harrison Schoppert Smith & Karner LLP. His practice includes civil litigation and business law, with an emphasis in real estate- and employment-related issues.

During law school, Mr. Edson was one of three students in his class to receive a U.C. Hastings Merit Scholarship and was a member of the Hastings Law Journal. He also served as a judicial extern to Judge Charles Breyer of the Northern District of California Federal Court.

After receiving his JD, Mr. Edson worked for two years as a staff attorney for Judge Ronald Quidachay in the Law and Motion Department of San Francisco Superior Court.

Previously, Mr. Edson was a public school teacher for five years at Ross School in Marin County, California. He taught the 4th, 7th and 8th grades, served as president of Ross School Teacher's Union, and was awarded an "Inspirational Leadership" award from the PTA for establishing a reading mentor program for primary grade students.
