Michelle Christovich’s transactional practice emphasizes corporate, intellectual property, data privacy and business law.

In her business practice, Michelle advises start-up, emerging and established businesses on a wide variety of matters, including entity choice and formation, corporate governance securities compliance, debt and equity financing, and drafting custom contracts.

In her intellectual property practice, she counsels clients from brick and mortar businesses to technology companies, start-ups and non-profits on trademarks, brand-protection strategy and licensing.

Michelle is also recognized by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States. She advises businesses on compliance with EU and US Data Privacy laws and drafts tailored privacy policies and terms of use. She is the author of “Why Should We Care What Fitbit Shares?: A Proposed Statutory Solution to Protect Sensitive Personal Fitness Information,” 38 Hastings Comm. & Ent. L.J. 91 (2015).

Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Michelle began her legal career at SPZ Legal, P.C., where she counseled start-ups, small businesses and non-profits on a variety of transactional matters related to intellectual property, corporate, securities, and data privacy law.

Michelle recently moved to Marin County and in her free time she enjoys yoga and is an avid reader.
